Job Description:

City Mart Supermarket is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Account Manager to oversee and manage our financial operations. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in Tally, GST filings, Income Tax Returns (ITR), audits, Balance Sheet, and day-to-day accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting transactions including sales, purchases, expenses, and bank entries in Tally ERP.
  • Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9) on time and ensure compliance.
  • Handle Income Tax Returns (ITR), TDS payments, and filings.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors for statutory, internal, and tax audits.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and trial balances.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash flow statements.
  • Generate periodic MIS reports for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and deadlines.
  • Liaise with CA firms, tax consultants, and government departments as needed.
  • Support budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost control initiatives.

Key Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in Tally ERP (mandatory)
  • Strong knowledge of GST, ITR, TDS, and audit processes
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and statutory compliances
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • B.Com / M.Com / MBA in Finance or Accounting
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in accounting, preferably in retail or FMCG sectors
  • Experience in supermarket or retail chain accounting preferred
  • Knowledge of inventory and billing systems is an added advantage
  • Honest, reliable, and capable of working independently
