Manager DepartmentOver 6 years of total experience in RTR and GL profiles Introduction: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Property Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our property management and real estate portfolios. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, property management, and real estate finance. You will work closely with the Controller, property managers, asset managers, and other key stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Scope
•
Oversee staff accountants production for managed properties.
Supervise AP processes (not data entry, but oversight and approvals)
Handle cash management decisions (shortages, prioritization of payments, etc.)
Review financial packages, draws, and compliance-related documents (e.g., RFR requests)
Provide guidance to staff accountants, resolve elevated issues, and interact with property management.

Should be able to step into staff accountant work if necessary (e.g., in case of turnover or coverage needs)
Expected to train, mentor, and support staff accountants so they can scale effectively
Long-term expectation: staff accountants may turnover, but the manager role provides continuity.
Software
•
Must have Yardi experience - non-negotiable.
•
Expected to be comfortable with Aspire (for training materials).
•
Needs to be familiar with AP systems, cash management workflows, and compliance processes in real estate accounting.
Required Education and Experience:
•
- Must have a CPA/CA/MBA degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 6+ years of total experience in RTR, GL profile. Strong accounting knowledge.
- 3+ years of experience as a property accountant (Multifamily is a must), preferably in the real estate or property management sector.
- Must have team leadership experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software, Yardi, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• - Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of real estate accounting principles and regulations is a must.
You must have:
- Comfortable working Pacific timings/PST Timezones
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (verbal and written);
- Experience with Yardi Is a MUST
- Team handling experience is a MUST
