Job Overview:
We are seeking an innovative Network Developer to design, develop, and optimize robust network software solutions that enhance our operational capabilities and automate network services. This role requires proficiency in networking concepts, software development, and an understanding of automation technologies. The ideal candidate will leverage NETCONF, RESTCONF, REST APIs, Python, and network automation frameworks to advance our network management capabilities, improve efficiency, and ensure high reliability and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain software solutions for automated network configuration, provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Implement and manage NETCONF/RESTCONF interfaces and integrate network systems through
    RESTful APIs.
  • Develop robust Python-based applications, scripts, and workflows leveraging frameworks such as Ansible, NAPALM, and Nornir.
  • Collaborate closely with network engineers and IT operations teams to identify opportunities for network automation, performance optimization, and innovation.
  • Engage proactively in continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes using tools like GitLab CI and Jenkins to ensure swift and reliable software releases.
  • Ensure adherence to security standards and best practices within network software development, including secure coding, certificate management, and secure protocol usage.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues in network automation environments, providing efficient and scalable solutions.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for network software architectures, APIs, scripts, and operational workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in software development focused on network automation using Python.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of network automation technologies, including NETCONF, RESTCONF, Ansible, and relevant YAML scripting.
  • Proficiency with REST APIs, particularly for integrating network platforms like Cisco DNA Center, Juniper Mist, Meraki, or Arista CloudVision.
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols and technologies such as BGP, OSPF, VLAN, VXLAN, EVPN, and SD-WAN.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line interfaces for managing network devices.
  • Experience in managing source code with Git and working within structured CI/CD pipelines.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of network security protocols and methodologies including SSH, HTTPS, and digital certificate management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications such as Cisco DevNet Associate, Ansible Automation Certification, or equivalent.
  • Practical experience with cloud networking platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) technologies.
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
