Role Overview
Job Title: Business Development Executive
Department: Sales
Purpose:
The Business Development Executive will drive sales growth and expand the company's market presence. This role involves managing the entire sales cycle—from lead generation and client meetings to negotiations, closing deals, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The primary objective is to generate revenue, bring in new business, and elevate the company's overall market share, thereby contributing to business expansion and increased revenue.
Core Responsibilities
Sales Cycle Management
- Lead Generation:
- Utilize diverse lead generation strategies, including outbound calling, digital research, and strategic networking to source potential leads.
- Systematically classify leads into categories such as immediately actionable, preliminary, or nurtured prospects, ensuring records are meticulously maintained and updated.
- Client Engagement:
- Schedule and conduct meetings with both new and existing prospects.
- Understand client needs regarding product offerings, pricing structures, and payment terms.
- Negotiation and Sales Conversion:
- Prepare tailored quotes and presentations that address client requirements.
- Negotiate mutually beneficial deals, ensuring alignment with the company's profitability guidelines.
- Order Processing & Payment Collection:
- Transition closed deals to the execution phase by collaborating with the Operations team.
- Coordinate with the Accounts team to manage client payments and maintain timely account receivables.
Daily Activities & Reporting
- Daily Reporting:
- Provide regular updates to the office, sharing outcomes of previous activities, any issues encountered (either in the field or during client interactions), and the planned agenda for the day.
- Task Execution:
- Execute daily activities such as initiating cold calls, setting up and attending meetings, and following up on prospective leads.
- Log detailed information on ongoing meetings, client interactions, and the status of various leads.
- Feedback & Upskilling:
- Actively seek constructive feedback to continuously improve sales strategies and overcome client objections.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach towards personal and professional development by upskilling and staying updated on industry trends.

Quantitative Metrics
- Sales and Revenue:
- Meet or exceed predefined monthly and quarterly sales targets and revenue goals.
- Lead Conversion:
- Maintain strong conversion rates from sourced leads to closed deals.
- Customer Acquisition & Retention:
- Increase the number of new customers while minimizing client churn.
- Daily Activity Reporting:
- Ensure consistent and accurate reporting of daily sales activities, including outbound calls, meetings, and follow-ups.

Required Competencies and Skills
Technical Skills
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrates strong computer proficiency for routine operations and efficient software navigation.
- [Optional but Desirable] Familiarity with the automobile industry, particularly in sectors related to garage or service center equipment sales, is a plus.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Command of the English language with a strong verbal and written expression.
- Outstanding rapport-building and persuasive skills.
- Effective telephone and meeting etiquette.
- Superior time management and organizational capabilities.
Experience, Education, and Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, ideally in areas such as real estate brokerage, credit card sales, or life insurance.
- Experience within the automobile industry, particularly in equipment sales for garages or service centers, is highly advantageous.
- Education:
- Candidate must hold a graduate degree.

- Travel Requirements:
- Willingness to travel routinely within Delhi-NCR, with occasional travel to other regions in India as needed.
- Working Conditions:
Regular office attendance is expected, alongside field visits and client engagement activities.
