Role Description
Job Title: Field Sales Engineer :Material handling Division

Department: Sales & Marketing

Location: Bangalore hub and spoke - outskirts

Reporting To: Sales Manager / Regional Sales Head

Job Summary:

The Field Sales Engineer will be responsible for promoting and selling forklifts and material handling equipment to industrial clients. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing customers, and providing technical and commercial support throughout the sales process.

Key Responsibilities:

Generate new leads and develop business opportunities in the assigned territory.

Visit customer sites regularly to understand their material handling needs and propose suitable forklift models or solutions.

Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and site surveys.

Prepare and submit quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and close orders as per targets.

Coordinate with internal teams (Service, Parts, and Finance) for smooth order execution and after-sales support.

Maintain customer records, enquiry tracking, and sales pipeline reports in CRM or designated tools.

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Collect market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and industry trends.

Participate in exhibitions, product launches, and marketing campaigns.

Ensure timely payment collection and follow-up on outstanding dues.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automobile Engineering.

Experience: 2–5 years of experience in industrial equipment, capital goods, or forklift/material handling equipment sales preferred.

Skills Required:

Strong technical and commercial understanding.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Negotiation and customer relationship management.

Self-motivated with a results-oriented approach.

Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Sales revenue achievement vs. target.

Number of new customer accounts generated.

Conversion ratio of enquiries to orders.

Customer satisfaction and retention.

Timely submission of reports and collections. Salary - 30k per month
