Job Objective:
The primary objective of the Lead Generator is to
convert incoming enquiries into confirmed sales
,
identify potential markets
, and
proactively generate new business opportunities
through research, cold calling, and relationship building. This role plays a key part in driving the company's growth by building a strong and consistent sales pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Conversion:
Follow up on inbound enquiries from various channels (website, ads, exhibitions, referrals, etc.) and convert them into qualified leads or confirmed sales. - Market Research:
Identify potential customers, industries, and regions for business expansion. - Cold Calling & Outreach:
Conduct outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach to connect with new prospects and schedule meetings or demos. - Database Management:
Maintain and update CRM or lead database with accurate customer details and activity logs. - Lead Qualification:
Understand customer needs, budget, and decision-making process to qualify leads effectively. - Coordination:
Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure smooth handover of qualified leads. - Follow-Up:
Maintain regular communication with prospects to nurture leads until conversion. - Reporting:
Prepare daily/weekly reports on calls made, leads generated, conversions, and potential opportunities.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written).
- Strong persuasion, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Confidence in making outbound calls and handling objections.
- Good research and analytical skills to identify new markets and customers.
- Basic understanding of CRM tools and lead tracking.
- Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and proactive attitude.
- Time management and ability to work under pressure to meet targets.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in lead generation, inside sales, or telemarketing (preferably in [e.g., FMCG, consumer goods, home care, etc.]).
- Freshers with strong communication skills and willingness to learn may also apply.
Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Number of qualified leads generated per month.
- Enquiry-to-sale conversion rate.
- Number of outbound calls/emails made per day.
- Revenue generated from converted leads.
