Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of Chinese dishes (stir-fries, noodles, rice, dim sum, soups, sauces, etc.).Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards as directed by senior chefs.
  • Ensure mise-en-place (chopping, cutting, marination, sauce preparation, etc.) is ready for service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation in compliance with hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Assist in receiving and storing ingredients properly to maintain freshness and quality.
  • Minimize wastage and ensure efficient use of kitchen resources.
  • Cooperate and coordinate with colleagues in other sections to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Support senior chefs in menu development and food trials when required.
  • Adhere to hotel/resort kitchen policies, SOPs, and HACCP standards.
