Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain PostgreSQL database solutions for applications and data platforms.
  • Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers to support business logic.
  • Monitor database performance, tune queries, and optimize indexing and schema design.
  • Ensure data integrity and implement backup and recovery strategies.
  • Manage user access and roles based on security best practices.
  • Perform database migrations, upgrades, and patch management.
  • Work closely with application developers to ensure seamless database integration.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to data models, configurations, and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3–6 years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database development and administration.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and performance tuning.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL tools (pgAdmin, psql, etc.).
  • Understanding of database design concepts, normalization, and indexing strategies.
  • Familiarity with data migration, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred (Good to Have):

  • Experience with cloud-based PostgreSQL (e.g., AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL, Azure Database for PostgreSQL).
  • Knowledge of other databases like MySQL, MongoDB, etc.
  • Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with scripting (Bash, Python, etc.) for automation tasks.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: ₹70, ₹80,000.00 per month
