Sales Officer

We are looking for a driven and motivated Sales Officer to manage and grow General Trade (GT) operations across key markets in Assam.
About the Role
The ideal candidate should have 2–4 years of experience in FMCG or consumer goods sales, with a strong understanding of retail distribution, market coverage, and channel management.
This role involves achieving sales targets, managing distributors, and ensuring brand visibility and product availability across retail outlets.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for the assigned territory.
- Manage existing distributors and retail partners to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment.
- Identify, appoint, and onboard new distributors and retailers to expand market presence.
- Ensure effective implementation of trade schemes, promotions, and merchandising activities.
- Conduct regular market visits to monitor sales, product availability, and competitor activities.
- Maintain strong relationships with trade partners, retailers, and key market influencers.
- Coordinate with supply chain and accounts teams for dispatches, stock management, and payment collections.
- Prepare and share periodic sales and market reports with the regional team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in FMCG sales, preferably in General Trade.
- Good understanding of distribution management and local market dynamics in Assam.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
