Role Description
We are seeking an experienced and passionate
Sous Chef
specializing in
Asian & European cuisine
to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in European culinary styles, excellent kitchen management skills, and the ability to support the Head Chef in ensuring high-quality food production, menu execution, and overall kitchen efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and executing menus focused on European cuisine (e.g., French, Italian, Mediterranean, Continental).
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring timely preparation and quality of all dishes.
- Train, guide, and supervise junior kitchen staff and commis chefs.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness as per FSSAI norms.
- Ensure consistency in food taste, presentation, and portioning.
- Manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with the purchase team for fresh ingredients.
- Assist in menu development, recipe standardization, and cost control.
- Step in as acting Head Chef when required.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Culinary diploma/degree from a recognized institute.
- Minimum 3–4 years of experience in a similar role, primarily in European cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of classic and modern European dishes and cooking techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
