Role & Responsibilities
Assists in monitoring, analyzing and controlling on an on going basis departmental costs to ensure performance against budget, and assists in the preparation of the (department) departmental budget.
Ensures that all reservation requests are attended to properly.
Ensures that correct company rate is being charged.
Updates guest history with preferences, likes and dislikes for future references.
Proactively manages inventory for the hotel to maximize Room Revenue
On daily basis reviews the number of rooms sold for the current month and next month as against the Budget and reviews the Daily Occupancy Report of last night of the hotel and competition.
Reviewing all No Shows, late cancellations and charging of retention as per the policy.
Conducts spot check reservations made the previous day and check all VIP arrivals and ensures adherence of all Reservation standards
Ensures that all reservations requested by telephone are answered promptly and politely.
Ensures that all incoming Emails, Faxes and Letters are replied, whenever possible on the same day as received.
Bring to the attention of Reservation Manager / Front Office Manager when the Hotel Availability status be changed and prepare for the necessary action.
Ensures that reservation office is maintained in a clean and orderly state and all reservation information is properly filed and readily available for reference.
Ensures that all reservation requests are attended to properly.
Ensures that correct company rate is being charged.
Maintains proper room status control and upkeep of future availability to chart to ensure highest occupancy possible.
Ensure proper control is kept on exceeding of credit facilities as per credit policy laid down.
Ensures all billing instructions should be correctly fed into the computer systems of individual folios so that it is followed throughout the guest stay.
Preferred candidate profile:
Candidate should have specific 2-4 years experience in Reservation.
Proven track record in enhancing guest experience, departmental profitability, employee engagement etc.

Understanding of Front Office and hotel operations.
Good/Excellent communication skills, Fluent in English and local language.
Management and Team Handling Skills. Time and resource management skills; Training Skills
