Role: Business Development Executive (Chennai)
Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu
We are actively seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Executive to spearhead our expansion within the dynamic Chennai and Tamil Nadu education sector. This pivotal role is perfect for a passionate professional ready to drive significant regional growth, forge key partnerships, and ensure our innovative Ed-Tech solutions are instrumental in the success of schools, colleges, and educational organizations across the state.
Key Responsibilities
Driving Regional Sales & Strategic Growth
Identify and Win New Business: Proactively research, prospect, and secure new business opportunities across the K-12 and Higher Education landscape within Chennai and surrounding districts.
- Exceed Revenue Targets: Consistently achieve and surpass ambitious regional sales and business development goals by successfully negotiating and closing new contracts.
Product Champion: Masterfully present and articulate the distinct value proposition of our products and services to prospective clients, effectively demonstrating how they solve specific institutional challenges unique to the Tamil Nadu education ecosystem.
Building and Nurturing Key Regional Partnerships
Relationship Management: Develop, cultivate, and maintain robust, long-term relationships with critical decision-makers and key stakeholders within the Chennai education community.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the Marketing team to design and execute high-impact, regionally-focused lead generation campaigns and growth strategies.
Voice of the Customer: Act as the vital link between our regional clients and internal teams by gathering and relaying constructive client feedback to influence and inform future product development.
Market Intelligence & Performance Analysis
Industry Expertise: Continuously track education trends, competitor activities, and market shifts specific to Tamil Nadu to ensure we maintain a sharp competitive edge.
- Analysis and Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular, insightful reports on sales pipeline status, market performance, and competitive analysis to inform leadership decisions.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or a closely related discipline.
- Experience: Proven, successful track record in sales or business development. Prior experience in the Ed-Tech industry or selling to the education sector in Tamil Nadu is strongly preferred.
- Language Proficiency (MANDATORY): Fluency in both English and Tamil is essential to effectively communicate and build rapport with local decision-makers.
- Essential Skills: Exceptional proficiency in communication, public speaking, negotiation, and professional presentation.
- Work Ethic: The ability to excel both independently in managing a territory and collaboratively within a high-performing team.
- Technical Acumen: Proficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite and experience utilizing CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to manage the sales lifecycle.
