The Director / Associate Director of Sales is responsible for leading and driving the hotels sales strategy to maximize revenue, market share, and profitability. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, strengthening client relationships, and overseeing the sales teams performance in alignment with the hotels commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets across rooms, MICE, F&B, and ancillary services.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities in corporate, MICE, leisure, and travel trade segments.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key clients, travel partners, and corporate accounts.
  • Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, and hotel site inspections to drive conversion.

Revenue & Market Growth

  • Work closely with Revenue Management to optimize pricing, yield, and inventory distribution.
  • Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer insights to adapt sales strategies.
  • Contribute to annual business plans, budgets, and forecasts.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and departmental goals.
  • Foster collaboration with Marketing, Revenue, and Operations teams for integrated commercial performance.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching for professional development.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and sustain long-term partnerships with corporate clients, event organizers, and travel agents.
  • Ensure excellent customer experience throughout the sales cycle and post-event follow-ups.
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, and industry forums.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 8–12 years of progressive sales experience in the hotel industry (luxury or upscale segment preferred).
  • Strong network of corporate, MICE, and travel trade contacts.
