Hiring a Transformational Delivery Leader for a Global Engineering Organization

Technology-led businesses today are entering a new phase of scale — one where growth, customer expectations, and complexity are all rising faster than traditional delivery models can support.

To meet this moment, we are looking for a
transformational delivery and engineering leader
who can re-architect how large-scale organizations operate.

This is not a continuity role. This is a
ground-up transformation mandate
.

The Scale

The ecosystem spans:

  • ~3,000 engineers
    distributed across multiple delivery centers
  • Global BFSI clients
    with multi-product adoption
  • Large implementations
    across digital channels, core systems, payments, lending, and enterprise platforms

The leader coming in must be comfortable steering organizations of this magnitude and orchestrating outcomes across multiple customer landscapes simultaneously.


What This Role Will Drive

The incoming leader will be responsible for reshaping the delivery engine across four critical dimensions:

1. Delivery Model Transformation

  • Move from hero-driven execution to industrialized, predictable delivery
  • Shift from bespoke, one-off programs to
    repeatable, standardized, scalable implementations
  • Compress timelines and improve field readiness across programs

2. Technology & Architecture Alignment

  • Strengthen engineering discipline and architecture consistency across units
  • Drive modularity, resilience, and high-quality engineering standards
  • Ensure non-functional excellence becomes systemic, not reactive

3. Operating Model & Workforce Redesign

  • Rebalance skills and strengthen leadership depth across delivery centers
  • Build an AI-augmented, automation-forward engineering workforce
  • Institutionalize governance, DevSecOps, and modern engineering practices

4. Culture & Mindset Shift

  • Drive a culture that experiments, learns fast, and scales what works
  • Reduce inertia and foster a mindset of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Create psychological safety that fuels innovation and engineering excellence


The Leadership Expectations

The person stepping into this role will:

  • Hold
    end-to-end stewardship
    of India delivery across all centers
  • Integrate delivery across products to enable
    composable, cross-line solutions
  • Improve customer experience through predictable, stable, first-time-right execution
  • Reduce escalations and cost-to-serve through systemic reform
  • Free market-facing leaders to focus on revenue, partnerships, and strategic growth

This is a COO-band / EVP-level mandate designed for a leader who can see the whole system, not just the function.
