Job Summary:

We are seeking a visionary and strategic Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead our enterprise-wide information and cyber security initiatives. The CISO will be responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive security strategy that protects our digital assets, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports business objectives. This role is critical in maintaining trust and integrity in our financial services operations, especially in the face of evolving cyber threats and stringent regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Governance

  • Develop and implement a robust enterprise-wide information security strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Lead the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) function, ensuring alignment with SEBI, RBI, CERT-In, NCIIPC, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Report regularly to executive leadership and the board on the status of the information security program, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards including:
  • RBI guidelines under the Master directions for Cybersecurity, Payment and Settlement Systems (PSS) Act, 2007
  • ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and other relevant frameworks
  • Oversee audits, assessments, and regulatory inspections, and manage responses and remediation plans.

Risk Management & Incident Response

  • Conduct enterprise-wide risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Lead the development and execution of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) programs.
  • Manage incident response protocols and investigations, including coordination with legal and compliance teams.

Technical Oversight

  • Ensure secure design and implementation of IT architecture and applications.
  • Oversee the deployment and management of security technologies (e.g., SIEM, IAM, DLP, endpoint protection).
  • Monitor emerging threats and vulnerabilities, and adapt security posture accordingly.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with internal teams (IT, audit, risk, fraud, compliance and business), external vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure cohesive security practices.
  • Provide security awareness training and promote a culture of security across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a leadership (CISO) role.
  • Proven experience in financial services or regulated industries.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or equivalent preferred.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in India.
