Medical Administrator/Clinical Administrator

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Medical Administrator to oversee the administrative and operational aspects of our medical facility. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth functioning of clinical and non-clinical departments, supervising staff, maintaining compliance, managing schedules, and improving overall efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day administrative operations of the hospital/clinic
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing, ancillary and support staff to ensure timely patient care
- Oversee scheduling of appointments, admissions, discharges, OT lists, and other patient-facing processes
- Maintain medical records, documentation, & compliance with relevant regulations and accreditation standards
- Monitor inventory of medical supplies/medicines; ensure timely procurement and stock maintenance
- Handle staff attendance, shift allocations, and leave management
- Liaise with various departments like CSSD, Pathology, Diagnostics, etc., to ensure operational efficiency
- Serve as a point of contact for patient grievances and feedback, ensure resolution
- Assist in budget planning and financial tracking for administrative expenses
- Implement and monitor policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to meet quality and safety standardsRole & responsibilities
Preferred candidate profile
Qualifications:
- Postgraduate (PG): Masters in Hospital Administration (MHA) or related health-care management qualification
- Graduation: MBBS, BDS, or BHMS degree from a recognized institution
- Valid registration/licensing (if applicable in your region)
Experience:
- Minimum 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in hospital/clinical administrative roles
- Prior exposure to managing clinical departments, staff supervision, and accreditation processes is preferred
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking skills
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements, accreditation (e.g., NABH / ISO etc.)
- Technical proficiency (hospital information systems, MS Office, record keeping)
- Problem-solving attitude and ability to adapt to changing situations
