Role Overview

The
Payroll and Compliance Executive
will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring statutory compliance, maintaining employee records, and supporting audits and HR operations. This role requires strong attention to detail, sound knowledge of labour laws, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and process monthly payroll for all employees accurately and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including PF, ESI, PT, LWF, TDS, and Gratuity.
  • Maintain and update employee records, salary structures, and attendance data.
  • Handle payroll reconciliations and coordinate with Finance for payout and reporting.
  • Prepare and file statutory returns (PF, ESI, TDS, etc.) within timelines.
  • Stay updated with changes in labour laws and statutory regulations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for HR/payroll-related audits.
  • Support HR and management with MIS reports related to payroll and compliance.
  • Address employee payroll queries and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, HR, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in payroll processing and statutory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws, tax regulations, and payroll software (e.g., GreytHR, Excel-based systems, or similar).
  • Proficient in MS Excel and data analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail, confidentiality, and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the hospitality or food-tech industry will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with HRMS tools and automation in payroll management.
