Role & responsibilities

Payroll Management:


• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for on-roll, contractual, and consultant

employees across all business units.


• Ensure timely disbursement of salaries, full & final settlements, and variable

payouts.


• Validate salary inputs such as attendance, incentives, bonuses, reimbursements,

and deductions before payroll closure.


• Review and approve payroll reconciliations and reports.

Compliance & Statutory Regulations:


• Ensure 100% compliance with statutory laws including PF, ESI, PT, Income Tax,

LWF, and Gratuity.


• Liaison with internal and external auditors to facilitate payroll audits.


• File timely returns (Form 24Q, PF returns, etc.) and ensure adherence to labor

laws and statutory timelines.

Process Improvement & Automation:


• Identify gaps and drive automation of payroll processes to improve accuracy and

efficiency.


• Collaborate with IT and HRIS teams for system enhancements (SAP, Workday,

or any ERP tool used).

Employee Taxation & Queries:


• Oversee annual tax planning, declaration verification, and Form 16 generation.


• Address and resolve employee payroll and tax-related queries within defined

SLAs.

Team Management:


• Lead and mentor a team of payroll executives and analysts.


• Ensure periodic training and upskilling of the payroll team on compliance

changes and systems.

Qualifications & Experience:


• Education: MBA (HR/Finance) or PG in HR/Finance; specialization in

Payroll/Statutory compliance preferred.


• Tools: Proficiency in payroll software SAP and MS Excel is a must.

Key Skills:


• Strong understanding of payroll processes, taxation, and labor law compliance.


• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.


• Stakeholder management (Finance, HR, Legal, Business Heads).


• Excellent communication and leadership skills.


• Ability to work under tight deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
