Job Title: HR Manager

Location: Pushpalata D. Y. Patil Hospital, Ambi Pune

Experience Required: 6-10 Years

Job Summary:

The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all human resource functions within the hospital. This includes recruitment, employee engagement, statutory compliance, performance management, training and development, and ensuring smooth coordination between management and staff to maintain a positive and efficient work culture in line with hospital policies and NABH standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Collaboration

  • Partner with departmental heads and leadership to align HR initiatives with hospital objectives.
  • Support workforce planning and effective deployment of human resources.
  • Participate in management discussions to enhance people-driven decision-making.

2. Talent Acquisition and Onboarding

  • Manage recruitment and selection across departments to ensure timely staffing.
  • Facilitate smooth onboarding and induction processes for new employees.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline for critical and clinical positions.

3. Employee Relations and Grievance Handling

  • Maintain a positive work culture by fostering open communication and mutual respect.
  • Act as a mediator for employee grievances, ensuring timely, confidential, and fair resolution.
  • Conduct regular interactions and feedback sessions with staff to proactively identify and address issues.
  • Coordinate with department heads and management to implement corrective actions and promote harmonious relations.

4. Performance Management and Development

  • Work with HODs to set goals, evaluate performance, and support continuous improvement.
  • Identify training needs and implement development programs across all levels.
  • Encourage feedback and recognition to drive engagement and productivity.

5. Compliance and HR Operations

  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, statutory requirements (PF, ESIC, Gratuity, etc.), and hospital policies.
  • Maintain HR documentation and readiness for internal and NABH audits.
  • Oversee attendance, payroll coordination, and HR MIS reporting.

6. Employee Engagement and Well-being

  • Design and execute employee engagement activities promoting teamwork and motivation.
  • Foster a supportive environment for employee wellness, safety, and satisfaction.

7. Policy Development and Implementation

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies aligned with hospital standards and statutory norms.
  • Ensure consistent communication and adherence to HR procedures across departments.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • 6-10 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in the healthcare or hospital sector.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws, statutory compliance, and hospital HR practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Leadership qualities with a collaborative and empathetic approach.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR software.
