Role Overview
As a Tech Lead, you will play a crucial role in architecting, building, and optimizing our HFT platform. You will lead a team of engineers while also being hands-on with development in C++ and Python. The ideal candidate has a strong leadership mindset, a problem-solving attitude, and experience leading a scalable platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Strategy:
Lead the design, development, and optimization of our HFT trading platform.
Make key architectural decisions and ensure scalability, performance, and security.
Drive best practices in coding, testing, deployment, and infrastructure.
Engineering & Development:
Write and review high-performance code in C++ and Python.
Optimize low-latency, high-throughput systems for real-time trading.
Ensure system stability, debugging, and quick problem resolution.
Production Support & Infrastructure:
Own end-to-end system reliability with a hands-on approach to production support.
Work closely with DevOps to scale infrastructure, monitor performance, and automate processes.
Team Leadership & Mentorship:
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team.
Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and accountability.
Requirements
10-12 years of experience in software development, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
Expertise in C++ and Python (high-performance, low-latency systems).
Strong experience in high-frequency trading (HFT), fintech, or other real-time, high-performance platforms.
Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and distributed computing.
Hands-on experience with production support, testing, and infrastructure.
Bachelors in Computer Science is a must (Masters in Management is a plus).
Proven ability to lead platform development in a product-based company.
Strong problem-solving attitude, ownership mentality, and decision-making skills.
