(Portugal) We are looking for a Junior CTO (Hands-On) — a highly technical engineer who codes every day, but who also has the maturity to take ownership of our growing ecosystem of systems, integrations and platforms. This is a role for someone who wants to lead through execution , influence technical decisions, build solid systems, and grow quickly into a full CTO position. What You Will Do As our Junior CTO, you will: Lead the development and evolution of our Django-based portal Build and maintain REST APIs (Django / FastAPI) Develop real-time communication features (WebSockets) Integrate local LLMs, embeddings, RAG pipelines and AI-powered features Manage deployments, Docker, Linux servers, Nginx, troubleshooting Improve system architecture and ensure code quality Create documentation, internal standards and technical processes Support and improve ERP-related workflows (basic Odoo knowledge is enough) Work directly with the CEO to define priorities and technical roadmap This is a hands-on leadership role : 80% coding + 20% technical leadership and decision-making. Requirements (Mandatory 4–7 years) Strong experience in Python & Django Solid knowledge of Django REST Framework Strong SQL and PostgreSQL experience Hands-on experience with Docker, Linux, Nginx Familiarity with LLMs, LangChain, RAG, embeddings or FastAPI Ability to take ownership and work independently Good communication skills in English Problem-solver with product and business awareness ⭐ Nice to Have (Not Required) WebSockets (Django Channels / Socket.IO) Celery & Redis Experience with Odoo (even intermediate) Experience in startups or small tech teams CI/CD pipelines What We Offer High autonomy and direct impact Fast-track growth into Full CTO Work on multiple live projects (AI, automation, integrations, chat system, backend services) Long-term role with stable responsibilities 100% remote work opportunity with an international team
