About the RoleThis is a hands-on leadership position for someone excited about scaling serverless systems and mentoring technical teams. As a Tech Lead, you’ll architect cloud-native applications, lead full-stack projects, and work closely with the CTO to align technology with product and business goals. You’ll play a key role in building software that directly contributes to climate impact, while fostering a strong team culture of quality and innovation.What You’ll Be Doing• Lead the development of scalable, serverless architectures using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and more• Design and build backend services (Node.js, Express.js) and frontend interfaces (React.js or Angular)• Drive clean code practices, conduct regular code reviews, and provide technical mentorship• Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployments• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders on roadmap planning• Ensure system performance, security, and long-term maintainability• Support a high-performing dev team and help shape engineering cultureWho We’re Looking ForYou’re technically strong, people-focused, and excited about building software that drives real change. You're comfortable switching between IC work and guiding team members, and you bring clarity and calm to complex systems.You likely have:• 5–8 years of experience in full-stack or backend development• Deep experience with AWS serverless (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3) or similar cloud stacks• Proficiency in Node.js and modern frontend frameworks (React.js, Angular)• Strong understanding of database structures (both SQL and NoSQL)• Familiarity with CI/CD, version control (Git), and cloud-based deployments• Experience with mentoring or leading small development teams• Bonus: TypeScript, Serverless Framework, AWS SAM, Docker, Kubernetes, GraphQL, WebSocketsWhat You’ll Gain• A leadership role in a mission-driven climate tech company• Direct collaboration with the CTO and core leadership team• First-hand experience working on impactful, enterprise-scale sustainability solutions• Guided mentorship and cross-functional exposure• Influence over core tech decisions and product direction• A fast-paced, high-growth environment where your work goes live• A collaborative and transparent team culture
