Role & responsibilities

  1. Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Planning

  2. Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with the companys goals.

  3. Establish sourcing plans based on market analysis, demand forecasting, and cost-effectiveness.

  4. Identify and select suppliers and vendors for various goods and services.

  5. Vendor Management

  6. Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.

  7. Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure the best deals.

  8. Conduct regular supplier evaluations and audits to ensure quality and performance standards

  9. Budget & Cost Control

  10. Develop and manage the procurement budget to ensure cost-efficiency.

  11. Monitor spending and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.

  12. Oversee the tracking of expenditures to meet budgetary constraints.

  13. Team Leadership & Management

  14. Lead and manage the purchasing department, including supervising procurement staff.

  15. Provide training and development to purchasing staff to ensure compliance with best practices.

  16. Set performance goals for the procurement team and monitor progress.

  17. Contract Negotiation & Management

  18. Negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.

  19. Review and finalize contracts, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.

  20. Manage contract renewals, amendments, and disputes with suppliers.

  21. Supply Chain Coordination

  22. Oversee the timely delivery of purchased goods and services, minimizing stock outs or delays.

  23. Address supply chain challenges such as disruptions, delays, or quality issues

  24. Compliance & Risk Management

  25. Ensure adherence to company policies, procurement regulations, and industry standards.

  26. Mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, quality control issues, and contract disputes.

  27. Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation for audits.

  28. Reporting & Analysis

  29. Provide regular reports to senior management on procurement activities, savings, and supplier performance.

  30. Analyze procurement data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

  31. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the efficiency of the procurement process.

  32. Collaboration with Other Departments

  33. Work closely with other departments (e.g., finance, Engineering, production, Stores) to understand their needs and align procurement activities.

  34. Communicate procurement plans and initiatives to ensure organizational alignment

  35. Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  36. Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in procurement.

  37. Implement process improvements to streamline procurement functions and reduce operational costs.

  38. Any other task assigned by the Reporting Manager.
