Classic Network and Computers is seeking an experienced Purchase Manager to oversee the procurement of IT hardware, software, and services. The ideal candidate will manage vendor relationships, negotiate favourable terms, ensure compliance, and optimize costs while maintaining high-quality standards. The role requires strong strategic planning, market knowledge, and coordination with cross-functional teams to support the company's operational and financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management: Identify, assess, and establish partnerships with reliable IT product and service suppliers. Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure quality, timely deliveries, and cost efficiency.

  • Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies, considering market trends and aligning with the company's objectives.

  • Cost Negotiation: Conduct market research and negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to maximize value for the company.

  • Purchase Planning & Budgeting: Collaborate with the finance team to allocate budgets and forecast purchasing needs, ensuring alignment with financial and operational targets.

  • Compliance & Documentation: Manage procurement documentation (purchase orders, contracts, invoices), and ensure all transactions comply with legal and organizational standards.

  • Quality Assurance: Oversee quality checks to ensure procured products meet the required standards, collaborating with the service team to resolve any quality-related issues.

  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks, with contingency plans to minimize impact on operations.

  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with sales, service, and operations teams to align purchases with organizational needs, ensuring smooth communication on timelines and product availability.

  • Reporting & Analytics: Track purchasing activities, vendor performance, and cost savings. Use data-driven insights to continuously improve procurement processes and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the IT industry.

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.

  • Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Knowledge of industry standards and compliance regulations in IT procurement.
