About the Role:

The Onboarding Manager, PG Operations will drive seamless merchant onboarding for PhonePe Payment Gateway, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and customer delight. With proven experience in PG operations, you will bring strong expertise in RBI PA guidelines, KYC, MCC classification, and risk checks. The role demands a proven ability to optimize processes while upholding SLAs and compliance standards, applying data-driven problem solving to reduce bottlenecks. The incumbent will lead a team and collaborate closely with compliance, product, tech, and sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding of PA guidelines & RBI Master Direction of KYC.
  • Responsible to drive key initiatives, process improvements and resolution of key challenges that are identified in the Merchant onboarding process
  • Monitor and manage day to day operational tasks & metrics
  • Close partnership with cross functional leads, training and quality managers & Business Analysts and other internal functional stakeholders
  • Create and develop critical operational processes to support the changing regulatory landscape and firm initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to build new tools and improve existing process flows and controls
  • Effective team building by leveraging organization talent frameworks to drive performance, discipline, learning and development
  • Monitor and improve key operational metrics ensuring TAT & merchant experience is at its highest
  • Ensure a positive, collaborative and cohesive team environment

Eligibility:

  • Minimum 5-7 years handling operations teams. Plus points if its into Onboarding operations in payment gateway industry
  • Experience handling cross functional / Merchant queries and regulatory inquiries
  • Expert Microsoft Office skills (word, excel, power point)
  • Ability to switch tasks as needed while staying extremely organized
  • At least two years of experience in a people management role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, experience making presentations to large and small groups
