Position Overview
AVPL is seeking an experienced and innovative R&D leader to spearhead the development of advanced drone technologies. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, driving product innovation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and translating R&D efforts into scalable, market-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the R&D strategy for drone technologies.
  • Lead the design, development, and testing of drone hardware and software, including AI and autonomous systems.
  • Oversee product development, commercialization, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Engage with industry, academic, and global partners for joint innovation.
  • Manage prototyping, testing, and validation to meet international quality standards.
  • Ensure DGCA compliance across all drone development and deployment activities.
  • Develop and manage R&D budgets and resource allocation.
  • Foster a high-performance, innovative R&D culture.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's/Master's in Engineering, Aeronautics, Robotics, or related fields (PhD preferred).
  • 10–15 years in R&D, with 5+ years in a leadership role in drones, aerospace, or robotics.
  • Strong knowledge of drone systems, AI/ML, sensor integration, and regulatory standards.
  • Proven track record in product development, team leadership, and technology commercialization.
