Business Development Executive – Logistics & Freight ForwardingKey Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage with prospective clients to promote freight forwarding and logistics services (air, sea, and land).
  • Understand client logistics needs and recommend tailored transport and supply chain solutions.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, documentation, customer service) to ensure smooth onboarding and service execution.
  • Prepare service proposals, handle client inquiries, and assist in rate negotiations and contract discussions.
  • Track and maintain records of client interactions, opportunities, and service requests using internal systems or CRM tools.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify areas for business expansion.
  • Achieve assigned performance targets and contribute to overall business growth.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English; proficiency in Tamil and Hindi is an added advantage.
  • Good understanding of freight forwarding, logistics processes, and documentation.
  • Ability to engage professionally with clients and present service offerings effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a proactive mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with CRM or logistics systems is a plus.
  • Prior experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or related industries preferred.
  • Minimum qualification: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
