Job Title: Senior Area Sales Manager – FMCG (Snacks/Namkeen)

Location: Kolkata (cover branches)

Experience: 5–10 years in FMCG sales

Qualification: Graduate (MBA preferred)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced sales professional to lead distribution and retail growth in the snacks and namkeen category. The role requires strong expertise in distributor management, retail coverage expansion, and team leadership to drive sales growth in the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and expand the distributor and retailer network across Kolkata and West Bengal.
  • Achieve sales targets (primary and secondary) through effective planning and execution.
  • Lead, mentor, and monitor the performance of Territory Sales Executives and field staff.
  • Ensure effective implementation of trade marketing, merchandising, and promotional activities.
  • Drive market penetration by identifying new business opportunities and improving product availability.
  • Monitor competitor activities and recommend proactive strategies.
  • Manage trade schemes, budgets, and ensure timely claim settlements.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and logistics to ensure smooth product availability.
  • Prepare periodic sales forecasts, performance reviews, and market intelligence reports.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in FMCG sales, preferably in snacks/namkeen or related categories.
  • Strong knowledge of distributor management and retail trade channels.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in competitive FMCG markets.
  • Leadership skills with experience in managing on-ground sales teams.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical abilities.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the territory.

Work Schedule

  • Six-day working week with one weekly off.
