Inviting applications for the role of [Management Trainee], [Payroll]
In this role, [The Payroll Specialist is part of a team responsible for processing US and Canadian payroll This includes, but not limited to, on-cycle pay processing, create/review/maintain process documentation and knowledgebase articles, train new Payroll team members, and be an escalation resource for Payroll Coordinators. Support Payroll Team with projects and process improvement initiatives.]
Responsibilities
• Perform activities necessary in processing payroll for all employees in the US and Canada
• Process termination/severance payments and signing bonuses
• Process tax adjustments and refund payments
• Calculate and pay ESL payments
• Coordinate payroll audits/reviews to ensure accuracy of pay and identify potential errors
• Provide time & labor support to HR Ops, managers, supervisors, and T&L users
• Research and resolve payroll issues
• Coordinate printing, packaging, and distribution of checks/advices
• Complete bank activities such as pay card funding and NOC reports
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Shadow Leadership to enhance people management skills
• Manage workload and work allocation
• Maintain and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures as agreed with the client
• Responsible on all day-to-day activities and people handling
• Conduct payroll adjustments, process off-cycle payments, process voids & reissues, process terminations
• Coordinate payroll audits/reviews to ensure accuracy of pay and identify potential errors
• Process seasonal PTO, severance and relocation as assigned
• Provide Time & Labor support to HR Operations, Managers, Supervisors and Time & Labor Users
• Research and resolve payroll issues
• Coordinate printing, packaging and distribution of checks/advices as assigned
• Yearend Activities W2's, T4's etc.
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in related field or commensurate experience
• years of high volume payroll experience
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of employees
• Strong analytical abilities
• Proficient to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Previous experience in Workday, UKG is preferred
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
• Experience with Workday and UKG
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification would be advantage
