Foreword: -

This position is responsible for leading Mechanical Design Engineers and Designers on various projects in the development of design concepts, calculations, schemes, and authority-required documentation. The position is also apt for someone who has worked with Architectural, Construction and Engineering consulting firms.

Job responsibilities of the role: -

  1. Monitor planning, designing and developing mechanical engineering services like Water supply, Drainage, Firefighting & HVAC engineering services like Airconditioning & Ventilation.

  2. Manage Design Questionnaire, Space planning, and Design basis/ concept report in consultation with Mechanical counterpart through the design team.

  3. Develop & design mechanical calculations and Preparation of MOEF, and support documents like calculations as per the Authority drawing & Equipment schedules.

  4. Review of Plumbing, Fire Fighting & HVAC design drawings at all stages and developing

Specifications and BOQ of the same.

  1. Prepare presentations in PowerPoint for Client meetings.

  2. Should be able to communicate effectively at all levels to support collaborative work practices.

  3. Maintain Customer focus and adhere to Quality & Time.

  4. Apply technical knowledge to resolve problems and be willing to learn new skills.

Inter-Personal Skillset: -

  1. Positive mindset and able to groom team.

  2. Team player

  3. The Candidate Should have very good written and verbal communication skills in English is must.

  4. The candidate should have experience handling a team of Engineers and designers with technical support.

  5. Should be good in client coordination, preferably from a Consultancy background.

Technical Requirements: -

  1. Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  2. Minimum 10+ years of similar experience (preferably in Consultancy field).

  3. Having exposure & expertise in handling projects like residential, commercial,

Hospital villas, Hotels and others.

  1. Knowledge of local codes (NBC, ASHRAE, ISHRAE, IS CODE, ETC.)

  2. Working knowledge of Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and HVAC design systems with all relevant calculations & system selections like DX, VRV, and Chillers (Air-cooled and water-cooled).

  3. Preparing BOQ and knowledge of AutoCAD.

  4. Coordinate mechanical layout with another services layout.

  5. Strong knowledge of local & IS codes with very good written and verbal communication skills in English is a must.
