Job Description – US Audit Associate

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven US Audit Associate to join our growing assurance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in executing audits for US clients, including public, private, and not-for-profit entities. This role involves working directly with onshore teams, conducting audit procedures under US GAAP, IFRS, PCAOB, and US auditing standards, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements such as SEC, ERISA, and DOL.You will play a key role in audit planning, execution, and documentation, while collaborating with clients and mentoring junior team members to deliver high-quality audits.Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in audit planning and risk assessments, including materiality determination, walkthroughs, and internal control evaluation.
  • Execute audit procedures in accordance with PCAOB standards, US GAAP, IFRS, and ISA, focusing on areas such as:
  • Revenue recognition
  • Business combinations & asset acquisitions
  • Lease accounting
  • Consolidation & impairment
  • Share-based payments
  • Financial instruments
  • Conduct substantive testing and audit procedures for key financial areas (accounts receivable, fixed assets, liabilities, expenditures, etc.).
  • Support SEC reporting compliance by reviewing and preparing Form 10-Q, Form 10-K, and Form X-17A.
  • Lead and review Employee Benefit Plan (EBP) audits, including 401(k) plans, ensuring compliance with ERISA and DOL regulations.
  • Perform end-to-end Not-for-Profit (NFP) audits, including grants, contributions, restricted/unrestricted funds, endowments, and program expenses.
  • Review and finalize audit deliverables and financial statements in compliance with US GAAP/IFRS.
  • Prepare and maintain audit documentation in platforms such as CCH ProSystem FX Engagement.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and onshore teams via email/virtual platforms to ensure smooth audit execution.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members, improving audit efficiency and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1–4 years of relevant audit experience with US clients (public, private, or not-for-profit entities).
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, PCAOB, and ISA auditing standards.
  • Experience with EBP audits (401(k), ERISA/DOL compliance) and SEC reporting is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with audit tools such as CCH ProSystem FX Engagement or similar.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.
