US Taxation Associate

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced US Taxation Professional to join our finance and tax division. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of US tax laws, forms, and compliance processes, with the ability to handle both individual and business returns accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review US Individual (1040), Partnership (1065), S-Corporation (1120S), and C-Corporation tax returns.
  • Prepare and file state tax returns, extensions, and amendments.
  • Ensure compliance with IRS and state tax regulations.
  • Conduct tax analysis and planning to identify potential tax-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate directly with clients for documentation and clarification.
  • Assist in audit preparation, year-end reconciliation, and tax projections.
  • Maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and timeliness in all work deliverables.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance.
  • Experience: 2–4 years in US Taxation (Individual & Business returns).
  • Certification: CPA or EA (Enrolled Agent) designation is mandatory.

Software Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in CCH and ProConnect (mandatory).
  • Experience with Drake, Lacerte, UltraTax, or similar tax software is an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and federal/state tax laws.
  • Excellent analytical skills and effective client communication abilities.
