we work at the intersection of design, strategy, and storytelling. We partner with founders, CMOs, and category challengers to build brands that shift perception and shape culture. We're looking for a Business Development Manager who brings a strategic lens to growth. Someone who understands that this is not just about winning projects. It's about building partnerships. Your job is to qualify opportunity, guide intent, and shape conversations into meaningful collaborations.
You must be able to speak both brand and business fluently. And you must believe in the power of design to drive real, measurable change.
You will lead all aspects of our new business function, Identifying opportunities and responding to inquiries, to crafting proposals, managing conversions, and tracking the pipeline. You will also contribute to how we present ourselves — refining our credentials & case studies with clarity and conviction.
Inbound Lead Qualification and Strategy
- Evaluate inbound inquiries for strategic and commercial fit
- Lead discovery conversations with prospective clients
- Develop a clear framework for prioritising opportunities
Outreach and Pipeline Development
- Identify and pursue outbound opportunities that align with our vision
- Maintain and grow a network of potential clients, collaborators, and partners
- Own our pipeline tracking, reporting, and quarterly forecasting
Credentials and Presentation
- Refine our credentials, capabilities decks, and proposal templates
- Ensure all communication is aligned with our positioning and standards
- Work with leadership to tailor presentations to specific sectors and audiences
Proposal and Scope Development
- Collaborate with the creative and strategy teams to translate briefs into scopes
- Draft and negotiate proposals, budgets, timelines, and contracts
- Ensure seamless handover from pitch to project onboarding
Studio Representation
- Be a confident and compelling ambassador of the studio
- Network and represent NH1 Design in meetings, events, and strategic forums
- Bring professionalism, clarity, and presence to every interaction
What We're Looking For
- 5–10 years of experience in B2B Marketing or business development
- Experience working within creative, design, or brand-led organisations
- Strong commercial and strategic thinking
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholders and decision-making processes
- Comfortable with CRM tools, pipelines, and business reporting
- Ability to collaborate closely with founders, strategists, and project managers
