Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Project Manager to oversee and manage on-site installation projects at client locations across India. This role demands exceptional leadership, strong client-facing skills, and the ability to ensure installations are completed on time, to specification, and with the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing installation teams on client premises, handling escalations, and ensuring smooth communication between all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Coordination

Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and task allocations for on-site work.

Coordinate between client, internal teams, and on-site technicians to ensure smooth execution.

  • On-Site Management

Lead, guide, and supervise the on-site installation team to ensure adherence to project requirements, safety protocols, and timelines.

Ensure all site activities comply with contractual obligations and quality standards.

  • Client Communication

Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the installation phase.

Conduct daily briefings and progress updates with the client's representatives.

Address client queries, concerns, and change requests professionally and promptly.

  • Reporting & Documentation

Prepare and submit daily progress reports, issue logs, and completion summaries.

Maintain all project-related documentation for internal and client reference.

  • Issue Resolution

Identify potential risks or delays early and implement corrective actions proactively.

Troubleshoot technical or operational issues in collaboration with relevant teams.

  • Quality & Safety Compliance

Ensure installations meet technical specifications, quality benchmarks, and safety requirements.

Conduct post-installation inspections and obtain client sign-off.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field (PMP/PRINCE2 certification preferred).
  • 10+ years of proven project management experience, with a strong focus on on-site installation projects.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities in English and Hindi (additional local languages are a plus).
  • Ability to travel extensively within India for project requirements.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Excel, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities under pressure.
