Business Development Manager

Role Summary
This role drives business growth, strengthens channel relationships, and ensures smooth coordination across functions. The person will oversee business expansion, client management, and cross-department alignment across manufacturing, dispatch, logistics, accounts, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & Strategy
- Identify, develop, and execute growth strategies for FMCG markets (Retail, Q-Commerce, B2B, Distributors).
- Acquire new business, onboard strategic clients, and expand existing accounts.
- Conduct competitive market analysis and propose business expansion plans.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Manage client relationships end-to-end, ensuring timely communication and service.
- Maintain strong coordination with distributors, partners, and key accounts to achieve sales targets.
- Ensure high client satisfaction through timely support and resolution of issues.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with dispatch, logistics, operations, and accounts teams for seamless order-to-delivery flow.
- Monitor manufacturing, production planning, and inventory to avoid supply gaps.
- Align inter-departmental communication to maintain accuracy, timelines, and efficiency.
Operational & Performance Management
- Track key business metrics, sales performance, product movement, and operational KPIs.
- Ensure cost-efficient, timely dispatch and logistics management.
- Prepare business reports, dashboards, and performance trackers for management.
Business Development & Brand Growth
- Create business development plans to increase revenue and brand presence across regions.
- Identify new product or market opportunities and present business cases to management.
- Support marketing, product development, and promotional initiatives as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience in FMCG or Food & Beverage industry.
- Proven track record in business development, client management, and operations coordination.
- Strong understanding of FMCG distribution, logistics, and supply chain workflows.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple internal departments for smooth execution.
- Strong analytical and reporting capability.
- Must have a Master's degree from a reputed institution (MBA Required).
