Job Description:
HR:Business Partnering: HR Annual Operating Plan:
- Develop the plant HR plan derived from the broad Business & Mfg. goals and HR strategy.
- Rejig the plan based on the recommendations and cascade the plan and budget to the team members.
HR:Business Partnering:Workforce Planning & Productivity:
- Review the manpower plan that it is aligned to the production and capacity expansion plan and analyze the cost impact of the proposed manpower plan for approvals from stakeholders.
- Calibrate on the manpower numbers with the individual unit head to finalize on the manpower count at the plant level and ensure that the daily workmen requirements for the shop floor are aligned to the production targets.
- Ensure the entry of the finalized manpower numbers in the system and communicate to the respective unit heads.
- Establish a structured plan for implementing the productivity norms to implement the productivity norms.
- Undertake optimization of temporary workmen byidentify opportunitiesfor employing trainees and apprentices.
- Coordinate with the L&D team in the cross training of workmen through classroom training and on the job training to promote redeployment.
- Drive performance-oriented culture among the workmen by driving performance-based bonus & rewards.
HR:Business Partnering: Employee Relations:
- Manage escalations in cases of chronic absenteeism cases, disciplinary issues, etc. with the employees and undertake appropriate actions to minimize such incidents.
- Manage the relationship with the work committees through periodic interactions to manage ER related issues, grievances, etc. to maintain a peaceful ER climate.
- Ensure that union related issues are managed amicably through dialogues and foster a culture of collaboration and ownership.
- Ensure that employee grievances are managed within the prescribed timelines and intervene in case of escalations to ensure that grievances are amicably settled.
HR:Business Partnering: Employee Experience and engagement:
- Promote holistic wellness of the employees with focus on professional and personal fitness.
- Review theemployee engagementscore / GPTW inliaisonwith the unit heads / managers and co-develop action plan to improve the engagement score.
- Recommend interventions to the people managers if required such as coaching and follow up on the improvement plan to ensure compliance.
- Develop theemployee engagementcalendar inliaisonwith the union and the committees and drive the organization wide/ unit specific initiatives as per the plan.
- Ensure the smooth functioning of various committees as per the guidelines.
- Liaisonwith the business to identify the employees in who are productivity champions in and recognize them as per the guidelines.
HR:Business Partnering:Performance Management:
- Ensure that goal setting process and review is completed within the timelines as per the prescribed guidelines.
- Facilitate appropriate level of calibration meeting with the stakeholders to ensure alignment to prescribed guidelines.
- Coach the managers on goal setting,feedback, review, rating, etc. to ensure the conduct of high impactperformance management.
- Liaise with the business to determine the appropriate course of action for the employees under PIP basis their performance.
HR:Business Partnering: L&D, Career and Succession Planning:
- Work with the function head and the managers to ensure that the training needs identified through refined IDPs are aligned to thebusiness needs.
- Ensure that training needs are met by ensuring delivery inliaisonwith the L&D team.
- Ensure the completion of any talent activities due by the employees as per the guidelines.
HR:Business Partnering:Statutory Compliance:
- Ensure that the contract labour / apprentices are deployed in adherence statutory guidelines.
- Maintain relationship with the govt agencies relationship and ensure that all the statutory provisions are adhered to as per the guidelines.
- Mange the statutory audits by the govt. officials and undertake requisite actions to ensure compliance as per the findings.
HR:Business Partnering: Recruitment & Selection:
- Drive the recruitment process as per requirements suitability against the role requirements as per the defined selection parameters and provide recommendations.
- Ensure that induction is conducted as per the guidelines for the new joiners to ensure that they are well acquainted with the firm and its policies.
HR:Business Partnering: Canteen Management:
- Oversee the management of the canteen to ensure its as per the hygiene guidelines & developed plan; review thefeedbackfrom the employees and recommend improvements as per requirements.
HR: People Management:
- Cascade the function goals to the team, review performance of the team and providefeedbackon a periodic basis to the team members.
- Provide subordinates with adequate exposure and growth opportunities to enable readiness for higher roles.
- Undertake action planning based on theemployee engagementscore and undertake appropriate actions to enhance engagement score.
Work Experience
Education: MBA/MSW in HR preferably from a premier college.
Relevant Experience: 9 -14/15 years of HR / IR experience in a manufacturing plant with experience in handling IR and wage settlement
