Business Development Specialist

Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation and Prospecting: Actively identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through field sales activities. Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to generate leads and build a robust sales pipeline for import services.
- Sales and Relationship Management: Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to closing the deal. This includes handling customer inquiries, providing tailored logistics solutions, and negotiating contracts. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships with both new and existing customers.
- Revenue and Target Management: Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals set for the import department. Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates to management.
- Logistics Expertise: Leverage your hands-on experience with FCL/LCL (Full Container Load / Less than Container Load), Ocean Freight, and Air Freight to discuss and propose optimal import solutions to clients.
- Strategic Growth: Focus on the acquisition and retention of customers to consistently increase the company's client base and market share.
- Team Collaboration: Work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with internal departments like operations and customer service to ensure seamless service delivery and high customer satisfaction.
- Experience: A minimum of 4 years of proven field sales experience in the logistics or freight industry, with a strong focus on import services.
- Skills: Exceptional communication (English, Hindi and regional language like Gujarati/Marathi can be added skillset) negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Must be a self-motivated, results-oriented individual with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of international trade, customs regulations, and freight forwarding processes is a must.
