Job Title: Business Development Officer (BDO)
Department: Business & Sales
Reporting To: Branch Manager / Business Head
Organization: Galaxy Credit Cooperative Society Ltd.
Job Purpose:
The Business Development Officer (BDO) is responsible for driving the overall business growth of the branch by sourcing new customers, cross-selling financial products, and ensuring achievement of monthly business targets. The role focuses on promoting society products such as Fixed Deposits (FDRD), Savings & Current Accounts (CASA), Pigmy Deposits, and Loan products (Gold Loan, Loan Against Property, Business Loan, Personal Loan, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
- Source new business through market visits, references, and cold calling.
- Generate leads and convert them into active customers for deposits and loan products.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets across products (FDRD, CASA, Pigmy, and Loan).
- Conduct minimum 15 cold calls per day to identify potential customers.
- Maintain and build long-term relationships with existing and new customers.
- Coordinate with the operations team for smooth loan disbursements and deposit processing.
- Ensure compliance with KYC and other regulatory norms while onboarding customers.
- Participate in field campaigns, marketing activities, and promotional drives organized by the society.
- Prepare daily business reports and update the branch on progress and challenges.
- Identify local market opportunities and provide feedback to management for business improvement.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Achievement of product-wise business targets (FDRD, CASA, Pigmy, Loans).
- Number of daily cold calls / new leads generated.
- Conversion ratio of leads to business.
- Customer satisfaction and retention levels.
- Timely submission of reports and adherence to compliance standards.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of local market and customer base.
- Target-oriented mindset with ability to work under pressure.
- Basic understanding of financial products (Deposits and Loans).
- Field sales experience preferred.
- Self-motivated and team-oriented.
Qualification & Experience:
- Education: Minimum Graduate (Any discipline).
- Experience: 1–3 years in field sales / financial services / banking / NBFC / cooperative sector preferred.
- Fresher with strong sales aptitude may also apply.
Compensation:
As per society norms + attractive incentives based on performance.
Job Type: Full-time
