Experience:

22+ years in Design Engineering - Sugar Industry

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Mechanical & Process Design teams for sugar plant projects.
  • Provide technical leadership in designing sugar industry equipment like Mill, carriers, fibrizors, clarifiers, evaporators, crystallizers, centrifugal machines, condensers, boilers, etc.
  • Ensure designs meet industry codes, standards, and client specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Proposals, Projects, Procurement, and Site Execution.
  • Review and approve detailed design documents, drawings, and calculations.
  • Innovate and drive value engineering initiatives to optimize performance and cost.
  • Coordinate with global clients, consultants, and site teams for technical discussions and resolution.
  • Mentor and guide design engineers, ensuring knowledge transfer and talent development.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality, and documentation protocols.
  • Support Marketing/Proposals teams with technical inputs and solution development.

Key Requirements:

  • B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering
  • Postgraduate qualification in Design/Process (preferred).
  • Proven 7-10 years as HOD experience in the Design – Sugar projects with exposure to both process and mechanical aspects
  • Strong knowledge of international codes (ASME, API, IS) and software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PV Elite, etc.).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple design projects under tight deadlines

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
