About the Role:

Paytm is seeking an experienced GM/AVP – Sales (LRM – South) to lead the entire South region's sales engine for the LRM vertical. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for scaling business acquisition, driving sales performance, expanding distribution footprint, and managing a large field sales funnel of 1,000+ resources.

The ideal candidate must come from Fintech/BFSI, with strong exposure to distribution, lending, or field sales operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Regional/Zonal Sales Leadership

  2. Own and scale Sales & Business Development across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala.

  3. Drive end-to-end sales strategy for LRM including merchant acquisition, portfolio penetration, and revenue expansion.

  4. Deliver monthly/quarterly sales, productivity, and growth targets.

  6. Lead a multi-layer field sales structure including FOS, TLs, Channel Partners, and outsourced teams.

  7. Build capacity, mentor zonal/state leaders, and ensure strong governance & performance tracking.

  8. Drive talent development, capability building, and team productivity improvement.

  9. Distribution Expansion & Channel Management

  10. Scale regional distribution networks ensuring optimal coverage, quality sourcing, and sales efficiency.

  11. Manage partner ecosystems (DSAs, Agencies, Aggregators, etc.) and ensure compliance and output.

  12. Develop high-performing sales channels aligned to lending and collection business objectives.

  13. Sales Planning & Execution

  14. Develop sales strategies based on portfolio insights, risk parameters, and regional opportunities.

  15. Implement funnel management, sales forecasting, and productivity frameworks.

  16. Drive digital adoption, automation, and process adherence across all field teams.

  17. Cross-functional Collaboration

  18. Work closely with Product, Risk, Lending Partners, Collections, and Central Sales teams to align strategy and execution.

  19. Support rollout of new products, policies, and performance improvement programs.

  20. Compliance, Governance & Risk

  21. Ensure full adherence to regulatory guidelines, partner governance standards, and audit frameworks.

  22. Drive ethical selling, documentation accuracy, and compliance-driven practices across the region.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 10–18 years of experience in Fintech / BFSI, with strong exposure in Sales, Distribution, Lending, or Field Operations.

  • Proven ability to manage large-scale field sales operations (preferably 3000+ workforce).

  • Experience leading multi-state teams and driving aggressive sales targets.

  • Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Ability to execute in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
