  • Must be from the insurance or the insurance broking industry.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the inward facultative reinsurance strategy aligned with the organization's overall goals.
  • Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities in new and existing markets to build a robust inward facultative reinsurance portfolio.
  • Drive innovation in product offerings and underwriting approaches to meet dynamic client needs
  • alignment with the organization's risk appetite.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, ensuring profitability while maintaining balance across regions, industries, and risk classes.
  • Set pricing guidelines and risk acceptance criteria, leveraging market insights and actuarial data.
  • Foster strong relationships with ceding companies, brokers, and other stakeholders to establish the organization as a preferred facultative reinsurer.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to promote brand visibility and thought leadership.
  • Lead negotiations for large, complex facultative placements to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Oversee the implementation of systems, tools, and processes to streamline underwriting and portfolio management.
  • Review and approve high-value or complex risks proposed by the underwriting team.
  • Collaborate with actuarial, claims, and risk management teams to develop solutions for unique or challenging risks.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
