Purpose of the Position:

Forging strong working relationship and ensuring coordinated position towards policymakers/decision makers, regulatory authorities at State level at all times

Developing appropriate strategies for resolving business critical matters favorably with various Ministries and Departments in the Government of Maharashtra.

Articulating companys contributions in the industrial development of the state and ensuring required timely approvals so that project timelines are met

Authority:

Identify the right level in Government for representations on matters affecting the company and facilitate meetings for senior management of the company.

Creating cross functional teams (CFT) for developing companys positions on various policy and regulatory matters.

Ensuring the companys stand and interest is safeguarded and fulfilled all the time while interacting with Government Offices / Officers.

Represent the company in forums of Government and Chambers of Commerce to ensure companys stand and interest is fulfilled.

Key Responsibilities &Tasks:

Leading on topics requiring State Government / Local Administration intervention for moving forward on current matters and upcoming project(s) for expansion.

Networking and maintaining healthy relations with Local Administration and decision makers, influencers in the Government.

Ensuring timely payment of government dues including that of Grampanchayat Taxes and any other charges not directly handled by Plant Engineering department.

Ensuring Governments positive response on matters of interest to company / industry (including to various brands under the Volkswagen Group in India)

Collaborate closely, cross functionally to ensure the right positioning and representation of companys stand on Government Forums / Chambers of Commerce

(Representation of Forums of interest).

Network with other industry peers, look forward for strategic branding opportunities, CSR linkages in Government

Enabling required approvals / clarification for VW Group brands on issues at State Transport Commissioner's offices / Regional Transport Offices / MPCB / MIDC and others

Identifying the right external stake holder to drive the company goal.

Ensure cost effectiveness in department's budgets
