About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Purchase Manager to oversee and manage our companys procurement activities. The candidate will be responsible for developing purchasing strategies, maintaining vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, ensuring cost efficiency, and managing timely procurement of goods and services required for business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers for the best pricing and quality.
  • Establish and maintain long-term vendor relationships.
  • Ensure timely procurement of materials, products, and services while minimizing cost and maintaining quality standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse/store teams to avoid shortages or excess stock.
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders, contracts, and agreements.
  • Conduct regular market research to stay updated on price trends and new suppliers.
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, and other departments to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other essential data.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal/contractual requirements.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. (MBA preferred)
  • 5–10 years of proven experience in procurement/purchasing, preferably in retail, FMCG, or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of vendor management, sourcing, and supply chain processes.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
