Business Unit: Khimji Jewellers
Reporting to: Chief Sales Officer
Role Purpose
Drive the strategy, design, regulatory compliance, and P&L ownership of all customer-centric saving & advance purchase plans (e.g., Gold Diamond Monthly Instalment Schemes, Festive Pre-book) that strengthen loyalty and assured footfall for our luxury jewellery portfolio across India.
Key Responsibilities Area - Deliverables
Product Strategy & Innovation - Map competitive landscape (organised & unorganised jewellers, fintech gold wallets). Conceptualize and drive new monthly schemes aligned to BIS Hallmark, RBI gold metal loan norms, and Company positioning (bridal, high-carat couture). Build tiered benefit structures (bonus weight, making-charge waiver, VIP previews).
Regulatory & Compliance -Ensure every scheme adheres to Companies (Acceptance of Deposits) Rules 2014, BIS (Hallmarking) Amendment 2024, and emerging RBI guidelines on retail gold savings. Liaise with legal for scheme prospectus, T&C, KYC/AML checks, and periodic filings with ROC.
P&L & Risk Management- Own annual target of X Cr corpus; monitor redemption patterns, cost of capital, hedging efficacy. Work with Treasury on gold price risk, derivatives, and inventory alignment.
Sales Enablement & Training- Create store-level playbooks and digital SOPs; conduct monthly webinars for 700+ Retail Sales Team. Design incentive slabs / SPIFFs linked to enrolment and on-time installment collection.
Omni-channel Customer Journey- Oversee UX of saving-scheme module on app & website (UPI autopay, live NAV of contributed grams). Integrate CRM triggersreminders, milestone badges, WhatsApp statements.
Marketing & Partnerships- Collaborate with Brand for 360 campaigns (print, HNI trunk shows, wedding fairs). Forge alliances with leading banks/fintechs for co-branded EMI cards, auto-debit.
Team Leadership- Lead a functional team of 10 DPP Excutive team and Drive a culture of luxury service, agility, and data-driven decisions.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Corpus Growth: value & YoY growth of active scheme corpus
- Conversion Rate: % of savers converting to jewellery purchase within x days of maturity
- Customer Retention (10mo): Repeat enrolment into next cycle
- Scheme Gross Margin: after hedging & promotional outlay
- Regulatory Scorecard: Zero noncompliance observations
- Digital Adoption: % instalments collected via autodebit / app
Qualifications & Experience
Must Have
10+ yrs total experience; 4+ yrs heading saving schemes / consumer financeproducts
Preferred
Experience in luxury retail or premium banking segment.
Exposure to commodities hedging, bullion markets.
