Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Manager - Talent Acquisition (preferably from Media & Entertainment industry) to join our HR team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the end-to-end recruitment process, partnering with business units to understand hiring needs, sourcing high-caliber talent and building a robust talent pipeline for creative, technical, and corporate functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with hiring managers across business units (News, production, creative, digital, marketing, sales, etc.) to understand talent requirements.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process: sourcing, screening, interviewing, evaluating, and closing candidates.
  • Source top talent through multiple channels job portals, LinkedIn, social media, referrals, headhunting and networking within the media industry.
  • Develop strong talent pipelines for niche and hard-to-fill roles in entertainment, digital content, production, and related verticals.
  • Ensure an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey.
  • Maintain and update ATS/database with candidate information and hiring activity.
  • Track recruitment metrics and generate regular reports on hiring performance, TAT, source effectiveness, etc.
  • Drive employer branding initiatives in collaboration with the marketing and HR teams.
  • Liaise with recruitment agencies and freelance talent scouts when needed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor hiring strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and labour laws in all recruitment practices.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/ Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 4 - 6 years of experience in Talent Acquisition (preferably from Media, Entertainment, or
  • Digital Content industry).
  • Strong understanding of media industry roles - creative, production, technical, on-air talent, digital, and support functions.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple positions and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Experience working with ZOHO recruit will be preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and creative environment.
  • Strong network within the media and entertainment talent landscape is a plus.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication in both English and Odia is mandatory.
