Immediate Manager: Global L&D Project Director

Position Location: Goregaon East, Mumbai

Purpose of the Job :

Enabling Sodexo performance by playing a leading role in the end to end project of the design, development and deployment key global learning and development programmes.

Context and main issues Describe the most difficult types of problems the jobholder has to face (internal or external to Sodexo) and/or the regulations, guidelines, practices that are to be adhered to.

Be a central point of contact between your global and regional L&D colleagues as well as external partners, for the global L&D programs in charge.

Driving L&D answer (design and deployment strategies) for programs in charge.

Being able to manage (using the L&D process) multiple projects simultaneously and being able to adapt plans due to new pressures or demands.

As this is a global role, navigating cultural and linguistic nuances is key to the success of how you will engage your key stakeholders and the ultimate success of the deployment

Main assignments :

  • End to end project management of programmes in your scope:

Project development based on individual project specifications in collaboration with the internal people development teams: program design and development in alignment with strategic goals, complex program redesign and management, stakeholder management

Partnering with internal stakeholders on the development of global learning initiatives (for examples Regional L&D, Global SME's)

Acting as a trusted advisor and expert for L&D initiatives

Develop the end-to-end change management and engagement plan for each project

Develop effective ways to evaluate the impact and success of the programmes.

Develop key support materials that are required to engage key stakeholders (global, regional & activity level). These may be different for each project; however, are likely to include PPT presentations, costs analysis, process documents, FAQs, toolkits etc.

Point of contact for some external providers - ensuring they understand Sodexo's needs, priorities, ways of working, values and desired timescales.

  • Ensure that UAT design for module development and system experience are incorporated into the programme design and relevant governance is in place

Following go-live, support regions through any challenges and maintain the programme on an on-going basis.

Design the end-to-end communication plan for the learning program and ensure incorporation into the system

Design engaging learning experience on Learning Management System and onboard local admin team for local deployment system support

Track learning progress and understand learner behaviour; provide regular reporting and progress presentations to key stakeholders

Ensure effective end to end deployment of learning & development programmes in your scope through a change management approach. You will achieve this by:

Engaging with the regional learning and development teams regularly, understanding their needs and challenges and taking these into account for the deployment of the learning.

Anticipating the needs and questions of your global and regional stakeholders and taking a proactive approach in addressing these.

Understanding and translating internal stakeholder needs into realistic and achievable project plans to ensure effective deployment and adoption

Involving and collaborating with your colleagues to ensure programmes are both business and culturally appropriate.

Effectively manage the translation processes by ensuring the most simplistic and cost-effective approach – taking into account the impact on the regional teams and ensuring that they are well supported throughout.

Provide framework to enable regional L&D to have structured conversation to understand business needs and training needs.

  • Drive efficiency across projects in your scope.

Identify efficiency problems in our ways of working, develop tools to save time and resources spent.

Leverage data to support decision making

Challenge the status quo and take both an innovative and problem-solving approach to enable the best impact.

Incorporate continuous programme measurement as part of on-going deployment to understand ROI of programmes.

Utilise O365 tools effectively to create simplicity, reduce email traffic and provide the teams with easy access to tools and information that will enable them to do their roles effectively.

Accountabilities:

End to end project and change management of learning and development programs in your scope.

Close management of agreed timescales, budgets and partners to facilitate the successful execution of multiple business led projects.

Daily point of contact for your regional colleagues.

Administrative activities related to the deployment of the projects such as presentations, invoice processing, reporting, preparing templates, translations Development and reporting on program KPIs.

Design and development of multiple types of learning initiatives in alignment with the strategic requirements and business needs

Person Specification :

  • Graduate calibre.
  • Curious and passionate about people development. Experience within learning and development or HR would be a plus.
  • Has the ability to engage, influence and lead others through change – strong change management skills as essential.
  • Should have well developed project management skills – being able to demonstrate adaptability in approaches is key.
  • Should have strong cultural awareness or be willing to develop in this area.
  • English language proficiency is a requirement and any other additional languages would be beneficial.
