Sandpiper Listings is an innovative real estate technology marketplace that connects owners of furnished rentals with renters. We are solving a critical pain point for short-term rental (STR) owners: vacancy during the slow season. We specialize in finding and securing qualified, monthly tenants for properties listed on platforms like Airbnb and Vrbo, providing owners with stable, mid-term income and peace of mind. As a lean, founder-led company, our mission is to scale this service to more markets, starting with St. Louis.
The Role: Your Mission
We are looking for our first dedicated marketing hire, a hands-on Growth Marketing manager who will be responsible for defining and executing our owner acquisition strategy from the ground up. You will be the sole engine of growth, focused on measurable results, lead generation, and scaling the supply side of our marketplace (i.e., property listings).
This role reports directly to the Founder and requires a highly analytical, experimental, and execution-focused mindset.
What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)1. Owner Acquisition & Lead Generation (70%)
- Content & SEO: Conduct keyword research and create high-value content (blog posts, guides, landing pages, videos, calculators) that address the pain points of STR owners (e.g., "How to manage winter vacancy," "Mid-term rental tenant screening"). Make AI-generated videos with platforms like veo & hire video makers who can create an original high quality video relevant for pain points for Airbnb owners. Build a content calendar and execute
- Email Marketing: Develop and manage lead nurturing sequences (drip campaigns) for property owners who request a free analysis or join our waitlist, moving them toward a qualified listing conversation.
- Paid Advertising: Work with the Ad agency based in India on setting up campaigns (Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram Ads, LinkedIn) to reach STR property owners in our target markets. Focus on optimizing Cost Per Lead (CPL) and Conversion Rate (CPA).
2. Analytics, Optimization, & Strategy (30%)
- A/B Testing & CRO: Constantly run experiments on website landing pages and lead forms (Conversion Rate Optimization) to improve the conversion rate of traffic into qualified leads.
- Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget efficiently, allocating resources to the channels that deliver the highest ROI.
What You Bring (Qualifications)Required:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in a growth marketing, digital marketing, or performance marketing role, ideally within a B2B or marketplace/proptech environment.
- The ability to write clear, persuasive, and SEO-friendly copy for ads, landing pages, and email sequences.
- Ability to experiment with different AI tooling to create video content. Find content creators who can make original content for our platform.
- A "roll-up-your-sleeves" mentality—you are comfortable being the sole contributor. You are the first hire and you will bre responsible for building an entire marketing team.
Preferred (Nice to Haves):
- Experience with real estate, short-term rentals (STR), or property management is a major plus.
- Familiarity with marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp, etc.).
- Experience with local SEO and geotargeting.
