Job Summary:

Project Manger will work closely with our operational partners and lead all aspects of day-to-day operations related to traffic enforcement systems, including challan (e-challan) generation and collection, asset and vendor management, public grievance redressal, and coordination with law enforcement and government bodies. This role also includes overseeing local finances, managing vendor relationships, coordinating with the operational partners and thereby ensuring business continuity and driving cost efficiency across the board. The role also includes finding new operational partners.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations & Asset Management

  • Ensure smooth functioning and maximum uptime of enforcement infrastructure (e.g., traffic cameras, servers, backend systems).
  • Monitor system downtime and coordinate with technical vendors for quick resolution.
  • Maintain an up-to-date asset inventory and schedule for regular maintenance.

2. Government & Police Coordination

  • Act as the primary liaison with traffic police, municipal bodies, and other government authorities.
  • Support enforcement campaigns and collaborate on initiatives to improve challan collections and compliance.

3. Challan Management

  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of challan generation, dispatch, follow-up, and collection.
  • Track collection rates and implement strategies to improve revenue recovery.
  • Address disputes or errors in challan issuance in coordination with authorities.

4. Public Grievance Redressal & Customer Support

  • Set up and manage a customer support center to handle citizen queries and complaints.
  • Develop SOPs for common grievance scenarios and ensure prompt redressal.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and improve service delivery based on feedback.

5. Local Finance & Budget Management

  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and support audits or inspections of the operational partners.

6. Vendor Management

  • Onboard, manage, and evaluate vendors for services including equipment maintenance, customer support, printing, logistics, etc.
  • Negotiate contracts and service-level agreements to ensure value for money and service quality.
  • Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contractual obligations.

8. Reporting & Data Analysis

  • Maintain dashboards for operational KPIs: uptime, collections, customer service metrics, etc.
  • Generate daily/weekly/monthly reports for internal review and government updates.
  • Use data to support decision-making and future planning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Public Administration, Army/Defense or related field.
  • 6 plus years of experience in operations, preferably in traffic management, urban services, or public-private partnership (PPP) projects.
  • Strong experience in vendor management, financial oversight, and cost control.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Financial acumen and budget handling
  • Vendor negotiation and contract management
  • Field-level experience in handling operational issues and ground teams
  • Knowledge of traffic enforcement systems is a plus
