We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Executive to manage procurement operations and ensure a cost-effective supply chain. The role involves vendor management, sourcing, negotiations, and inventory control. You will play a key part in maintaining smooth operations and supporting business growth in the light engineering industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end procurement process including sourcing, vendor selection, and purchase orders.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production, finance, and design teams.
  • Resolve supplier issues related to deliveries, pricing, or quality.
  • Maintain accurate purchase records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Diploma in Engineering or Commerce preferred.
  • Experience: 1 - 2 years in procurement or supply chain management in the light engineering/manufacturing industry.
  • Hands-on experience in vendor management, sourcing, negotiations, and inventory management.

Essential Skills

  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Clear communication (written & verbal).
  • Attention to detail in purchase orders and records.
  • Problem-solving ability to handle supply or quality issues.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP tools.

Work Environment

  • Office-based role with cross-functional collaboration.
  • Occasional travel for supplier visits, trade shows, and factory visits (Silvassa).
