Purpose of the Role

Coordinate & supervise seed arrivals, processing & conditioning, Inventory management, Cost optimization & plant operations. Responsible for managing the complete automation/packing lines and machinery maintenance, new project developments, planning's, and budget motoring's.

Location: Kurnool

Reporting: PBS Production Manager

Qualifications: Relevant Post-graduate/Ph. D degree with 1-3 years of related experience is preferred,

  • Specific knowledge on Seed production, pest management & Post harvest handling & Maintenance Breeding
  • Basic knowledge on breeding techniques
  • Expertise in Farm Management
  • Basic knowledge on planning & Budgeting,
  • Technical capability and understanding
  • Multitalented professional experience operations and maintenance of the fields/farms
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office & SAP/Inventory management tool

Business Understanding: Understanding of importance of parent seed source, quality, quantity and timey supply

Behavioural Skills: Strong Problem-solving skills, critical thinking and self- initiative, Proactive, New initiatives. Excellent written, verbal communication, interpersonal skills, high quality document and report preparation skills. Showcased ability to utilize the available resources & train the supervisors to use best practices for effective output

Major Job Responsibilities

  • Timely production and supply of sufficient quantity of pre-basic seed of all mandate crops, with standard quality, as per the approved production plan
  • Parent seed Production (PBS-1 & 2), Cost Management/budgeting, Planning, Processing, Distribution, and supply
  • Farm Management and efficient man power utilization to generate quality work
  • Maintenance and record keeping of the assets as well as production documents at PSP Farms.
  • Development of farms with effective utilization of farm resources through better planning and  enhance labour efficiency; adhering to safety guidelines in all farm operations.
  • Highly focused approach towards quality improvement of line especially in Rice
  • Inventory Management and tracking in the system
  • Quality seed management based on arrival/inventory
  • Liaising with SPR, R&D, QA/QC lab, Field & Plant Quality function
  • Supervisory experience, training to team, setting goals/objectives, planning, executions, budget monitoring, cost controls,
  • Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards
